Join us on an unforgettable culinary experience touring one of the most scenic and spectacular area of beautiful Southern Italy.

Tour Highlights

Day 1 – Welcome to Italy
Meet and greet with your hosts and the rest of the group at hotel Monti Palace.  After a brief presentation and introduction, transfer towards Imperial Forum for our welcome dinner at Roof Garden panoramic restaurant.

Day 2 – Towards the Amalfi Coast

Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting with the driver and transfer towards Sorrento. Stop along the way on the hillside of Mount Vesuvio and guided hike towards the crater. After the hike, transfer by bus to Cantine del Vesuvio and guided visit of the winery. Lunch will be served and will include fresh local products to be enjoyed alongside 3 of the family wines.

In the late afternoon, arrival to Sorrento and check in at Hotel Michelangelo (or similar). Free time in the evening. Suggestions for dinner will be made upon request.

Day 3 – Cooking with the pros

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Fattoria Terranova  to spend a day at the farm. Under the guidance of a local chef, guests will be part of picking fresh seasonal ingredients from the field and prepare a meal from traditional Neapoiltan recipes. Experience cooking alongside Anna, Michael and local chefs using the freshest ingredients. Lunch to follow.

In the afternoon, stop by at Sant’Agata dei Golfi, in the Sorrento’s countryside. From this hill you will have a breathtaking view of both Gulfs, the Gulf of Naples and the Gulf of Sorrento. Free time in the town and return to Sorrento in the evening.

Day 4 – Mozzarella & Paestum

After breakfast, departure towards Vannulo farm, the highest quality producer of fresh buffalo mozzarella. After a guided tour of the farm, a lunch will include products from the farm such as mozzarella, ricotta, yogurt and gelato all made from buffalo milk.

In the afternoon, visit to the archeological sites of Paestum where it’s possible to admire some of the world’s best preserved Greek temples from 600 B.C.

Following the visit, a short drive will take the group to Vini Marino, for a winery visit followed by a tasting of their selection of DOP wines. Aperitivo style (light dinner) to follow and return to Sorrento.

Day 5 – Napoli's Street art & food

After breakfast, transfer to Napoli, the capital city of Campania Region. Upon meeting with the local guide, guests will embark on a multisensorial experience spanning between market roads, graffiti and street art, local specialty shops and historic neighborhoods. During this exciting day, Street Food will definitely be the star of it with tasting of pizza portafoglio (folded pizza), cuoppo napoletano (mixed fried fish served in a cone), taralli and frittate, sfogliatelle and baba and much more.

In the evening, return to Sorrento.

Day 6 – Amalfi Coast and Wine

After breakfast, departure towards Positano thru the scenic route of Amalfi Coast.  A quick stop in one of the most picturesque spots will allow for some world class pictures and breathtaking views of the coastline.

Arrival to the town of Furore for a visit of the World’s famous winery of Marisa Cuomo and their “Extreme Wines”.

A lunch with wine pairing will be organized at the winery.

After lunch, transfer to Amalfi and free time to explore the town.

Return to the hotel in the evening.

Day 7 – Pasta, Limoncello & Pizza

After breakfast, transfer to the town of Gragnano, famous for its pasta productions and visit to the Afeltra producer, known for its high-quality production of slow-dried pasta. After learning about the different phases of production, a tasting lunch will follow, featuring a variety of formats of pasta with different sauces.

Along the way back towards Sorrento, visit to local producer of limoncello (with tasting). After a “merenda” with breads, jams and limoncello, return to the hotel.

In the evening, transfer to Vico Equense, home of “universita’ della pizza” – a place where “pizza by the meter” was invented by Luigi Dell’Amura a.k.a. Gigino. Dinner will be at the historic establishment “Da Gigino”, still own by the same family.

 

Day 8 – All roads lead to Rome
After breakfast, check out from hotel and transfer towards Frascati, known for its Tuscolan Villas built by the Vatican State during the 16th century as well as its DOCG appellation for wines.

Visit to Casale Marchese, high-quality producer of wines and olive oil for 7 generations. Lunch will be served at the winery and paired with their exeptional wines.

In the afternoon, transfer to Rome and check-in at hotel Monti Palace.

Farewell dinner with the group at local restaurant.

Day 9 – Arrivederci

One last breakfast at the hotel and then it’s time to check out head towards the airport. If you require a transfer, we will do our best to facilitate it. Until next time…
