Tour Highlights

Day 1 – Welcome to Italy

Arrival at Brindisi Airport and private transfer to Hotel in Lecce

As the beating heart of Salento, Lecce enchants visitors with its stunning Baroque historic centre and the splendid sea right on its doorstep.

Lecce has an unmistakable style, with monuments dating back to Roman times and, its extraordinary 17th-century buildings that showcase the characteristic blonde color of the local stone. 

After a brief presentation and introduction, we will go for our welcome dinner at one of the best local restaurants in Town

Day 2 – Towards the Amalfi Coast

Breakfast at the hotel and departure towards Otranto, the most extreme point of Salento and the easternmost in Italy.

Light lunch at local typical restaurant.

In the afternoon, return to Lecce and tour of the historic centre.

Visit to a local pastry shop with demonstration and tasting of “pasticciotto”, one of the most traditional desserts of this area.

Dinner at local restaurant.

Overnight in Lecce.

Day 3 – Cooking with the pros

Breakfast at the hotel.

The morning will be dedicated to a typical cooking class: walking along the main streets of Lecce, we will reach the local market where local ingredients (fruits, vegetables, cheeses and meats) will be used for the preparation of a traditional meal (from appetizer to dessert) to be enjoyed as lunch.

The afternoon/evening is yours to enjoy.

Overnight in Lecce.

Day 4 – Ostuni, the "White City"

Breakfast at the hotel and departure towards Ostuni, one of Puglia’s most beautiful cities.

Known as the White City, Ostuni has views of the endless olive trees in the Valle d’Itria countryside and the glimmering Adriatic Sea.

We will wander its maze of lanes (with a local guide), eat some delicious food, and learn more about this magical town.

At the end of the tour, we will visit a local winery for a tasting accompanied by a buffet lunch.

Check in at the Ostuni Palace Hotel (or similar) and dinner at the hotel’s restaurant.

Day 5 – Napoli's Street art & food

Breakfast at the hotel and departure towards Cisternino

Visit to the old oil mill followed by olive oil tasting.

Transfer to Martina Franca to experience “Capocollo”, one of the Puglia culinary excellences. After learning about the production process, we will enjoy a tasting of this iconic product and a typical lunch

Transfer towards Alberobello, home of the “Trulli” (little houses with cone shaped roofs)

Return to the hotel. Dinner at local restaurant and overnight in Ostuni.

Day 6 – Bari & orecchiette

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Bari. 

Upon arrival, we will go for a guided walk of the historic center, including a stop at Strada Arco Basso, also know as “Orecchiette street”, where incredibly skilled women prepare thousands of handmade orecchiette pasta from scratch every day.

Lunch will be at a local restaurant with tasting of “Orecchiette with rapini” as well as other excellences of the Bari cuisine.

In the afternoon, check in at Hotel Oriente (or similar). Dinner at local restaurant

Day 7 – Pasta, Limoncello & Pizza

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Altamura. Visit to the town as well as one of the oldest bakeries as well as a cheese factory with demonstration and tasting of the world’s famous Altamura bread and Burrata Pugliese. Return to the hotel in Bari.

Late afternoon, transfer to the scenic town of Polignano a Mare, free time for an early evening walk before meeting for farewell dinner at one of Italy’s most scenic restaurants!


Day 8 – Arrivederci

One last breakfast at the hotel and then it’s time to check out head towards the airport with our pre-arranged transfers.
