Embark on a luxurious culinary tour this September with renowned Chef Michael and celebrated pastry chef Anna Olson in the picturesque region of Piemonte, Italy. This exclusive journey promises an immersive experience into Italy’s gastronomic heart, where participants will explore the enchanting vineyards of Barolo, famed for its robust red wines. This tour offers the opportunity to savour the earthy decadence of white truffles harvested from Alba’s secretive forests, perfectly complemented by the rich, velvety textures of Barolo wines.

The journey will revolve around the vibrant city of Torino, where culinary artistry meets historical splendour. Guests will indulge in curated tastings, intimate chef-led cooking class, and exclusive dinners that showcase the best of Italian culinary tradition and innovation. Each moment of this tour is designed to elevate the senses, offering an unforgettable taste of Piemonte’s rich culinary heritage.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1 – Welcome to Italy - Monday Sept. 22nd

Arrival at Milan Malpensa Airport, meeting with the group and transfer with private driver to Turin. Accommodation in a central **** hotel. Dinner at a local restaurant within walking distance. Overnight stay.

Day 2 – Torino between chocolate and history - Tuesday Sept. 23rd

Breakfast at the hotel.

Discover Turin with a tour around the city on a vintage tram, tasting giandujotti (chocolate-hazelnut confections) and visiting Choco-Story Turin, the Chocolate and Gianduja Museum (with an English audio guide).

Historical characters will share anecdotes about chocolate, the city, and historic trams.

In the afternoon, meet with a guide for a walking tour exploring Italy’s first capital. The tour includes main squares, city monuments, with particular attention to historic cafes and shops. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight stay.

Day 3 – A day by the lakes - Wednesday Sept. 24th

Breakfast at the hotel. Meet with a private driver and depart for Lake Maggiore. Guided tour of the Borromean Islands by boat (visiting Isola Bella with the magnificent Palazzo Borromeo and Italian garden, and Isola dei Pescatori with its ancient alleys and scenic views).

Lunch at a lakeside restaurant.

In the afternoon, guided tour of beautiful Orta S. Giulio with its splendid residences, historic buildings, and characteristic alleys. Transfer by boat (not exclusive) to the Island of S. Giulio, dominated by the Romanesque basilica, bishop’s palace, and Benedictine abbey. Return to Turin in the evening. Free dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 – Langhe: Barolo & truffles - Thursday Sept. 25th

Breakfast at the hotel. Meet with a driver and spend the day visiting the Langhe. First stop: visit a renowned hazelnut producer, Piedmont I.G.P. brand, known for its high quality, with a tasting session. Continue to a famous winery for a tasting of renowned and multi-awarded wines (Barolo, Barbaresco, etc.), followed by lunch. In the afternoon, stop in Alba to meet a White Truffle producer, considered the most prized by gourmets worldwide. Tasting included. Return to Turin, free dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 5 – Cooking and museums – Friday Sept 26th

Breakfast at the hotel. Meet with a driver and reach the location where Anna and Michael, along with their guests, will host a cooking class highlighting the flavors of Piedmontese cuisine. Lunch included. In the afternoon, return to central Turin for a guided visit to the Egyptian Museum, home to the most important collection of Egyptian artifacts in Europe, and the oldest in the world. Founded in 1824, while the Cairo museum opened to the public in 1906. Dinner and return to the hotel for the night.

Day 6 – The flavours of Canavese region – Saturday Sept. 27th

Breakfast at the hotel. Meet with a driver. Morning dedicated to discovering the flavors of the Canavese. Begin the tour with a visit to a company specializing in the production of Lardo d’Arnad D.O.P and the Carema nebbiolo producers’ winery. Continue for a robust tasting in the Balmestri of Borgofranco, natural wine cellars carved into the morainic rock of the Mombarone massif, primarily used for storing wine and cheese. In the afternoon, meet producers of DOP cheeses. Return to Turin. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight stay.

Day 7 – Back to the city – Sunday Sept 28th

Breakfast at the hotel. Meet with a driver and transfer to the Lavazza Museum for an immersive journey into the history of Italian coffee, guided by the Lavazza Training Center, the largest coffee study center in Italy and internationally. Exclusive museum visit of about 45 minutes plus a final tasting of a coffee recipe. Free lunch. Farewell dinner at a renowned restaurant in the heart of Turin. Return to the hotel for the night.

Day 8 – Time to say goodbye - Monday Sept. 29th

After one last breakfast together, it will be time to say: “Arrivederci e alla prossima”.
