Tour Highlights

Day 1 – Welcome to France

Arrival to Carcassonne and check in at Hôtel les Chevaliers 4* (or similar) Meet and greet with the rest of the group.

Welcome dinner at La Marquiere restaurant 

Day 2 – Carcassonne and Canal du Midi

Visit the Cité de Carcassonne, a Unesco World Heritage listed walled city. Stroll through the medieval village with its tiny and twisted alleys the medieval charm.

Lunch chez Christine 

In the afternoon cruise onto the Canal du Midi.

After the cruise, we will all enjoy an aperitif with a taste of local autumn truffle.

Day 3 – Narbonne and Marseillan

Today we will visit Les Halles de Narbonne. Stroll in the beautiful market halls where you can find excellent local cheeses, cahrcuterie, pastries and more.

After a marvellous lunch at Les Grands Buffets, a wonderful escape awaits you: aA cruise on the Lagoon of Thau, between the Canal du Midi and the oyster beds of the Thau basin. An oyster tasting (with wine) will be included!

Day 4 – Mirepoix & Wines

Today we visit Mirepoix, a medieval village dating from the 10th century. The large central square is flanked by a magnificent, covered arcade, created by half timbered houses supported on wooden pillars. Free time for lunch in the market

In the afternoon, we will meet a dedicated wine grower and oenologist, learn his different production methods and taste excellent wines of Languedoc. Dinner at local restaurant in Carcassonne

Day 5 – Cooking with the pros workshop

Today, under the guidance of our wonderful host Anna Olson & local chef Nathalie, you will create a full traditional French meal: aperitif, starter, main, dessert and (of course) wine! 

In the afternoon, our special wine workshop will start with an introduction and wine tasting in the winery’s art gallery. Then, you mix and create your own vintage that you can take with you and let your friends taste the fruit of your labor! 

Day 6 – Castles and Olive oil...

In the morning, we will visit the castle ruins of Lastours, isolated by the deep valleys of the Orbiel and Grésilhou rivers. Just before lunch, we will stop at a small vineyard for a wine tasting.

A short drive will take us to our lunch destination: the picturesque village of Minerve on the list of “most beautiful villages of France”. 

In the afternoon, we will visit an olive oil production and learn about the “La Lucque” olive, the local specialty. 

Our farewell dinner will be at la Barbacane – Michelin star restaurant!

Day 7 – À bientôt!

One last breakfast at the hotel and then it’s time to check out head back home.
